Once A Warbler, Always A Warbler: Unpopular opinion perhaps?

And I’m not saying this goes for everyone seeing as I know very few people who are knees deep in the fandom anyway.

But when the HP fans get SO excited (past tense obviously) about the movies, it just makes me go “WHY?!”

I mean, I get that seeing a film adaptation of your favourite book is…

I think a lot of people who are fans of the books watch the movies and sort of… insert the rest in their minds. They either don’t notice or willfully ignore the plot holes and the changes because they’re seeing their imagination come to life.

I liked the movies but I didn’t love them. I thought they were well cast, I thought the costuming and the sets and the special effects were great. But the holes in the story just make me twitch.
